It was a good run, but the Dakota Ridge Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evergreen. Dakota Ridge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Evergreen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Dakota Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maryn Talyat. Despite the final result, she scored 22 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Talyat has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Galbreath, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
