St. Laurence had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Oak Forest on Saturday. The Vikings blew past the Bengals 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

St. Laurence has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Oak Forest, they dropped their record down to 18-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

St. Laurence and Oak Forest should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Vikings (ranked 26th) will meet Lyons (ranked 223rd) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oak Forest will face off against Bremen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (188 vs. 435).
