After flying high against Legacy Christian Academy last Tuesday, Emmanuel Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Southeastern Local Trojans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Emmanuel Christian Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Macey Hudson paced Emmanuel Christian Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Hudson got some help from Mya Lawrence and her 31 assists. Lawrence was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Abby Davis went supernova For Southeastern Local., getting 24 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Davis has posted since back in August.

Emmanuel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Southeastern Local, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-18.

As of now, neither Emmanuel Christian Academy nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
