Baseball Recap: Guadalupe Centers Comes Up Short

The Guadalupe Centers Aztecs lost 15-2 to the Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers on Tuesday.

Guadalupe Centers saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Young, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another was Josue Mendoza, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Guadalupe Centers' loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln College Prep, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Guadalupe Centers is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Center at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Aztecs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 16.2 runs per game this season. As for Lincoln College Prep, they will face off against Christ Prep Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
