Softball Game Preview: Arvin Bears vs. Golden Valley Bulldogs

Arvin hasn't had much luck against Golden Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Golden Valley will be up against a hot Arvin squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Bears blew past Del Oro 14-6 last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Golden Valley made easy work of Mira Monte last Thursday and carried off a 14-1 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won four matches in a row.

Golden Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Arvin, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Arvin came up short against Golden Valley in their previous meeting back in March, falling 9-6. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
