North Side won the last time they faced Diamond Hill-Jarvis and things went their way on Thursday too. The Steers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. While the Steers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Among those leading the charge was Nyla Ortiz, who had nine digs and two aces.

Ortiz wasn't the only good server: North Side was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive games.

North Side's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

North Side wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Everman on the 21st. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Young Women's Leadership Academy on the 21st.
