Seward extended their winning streak  to seven  on Friday, bumping them up to 7-2. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Crete Cardinals 42-7. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won four games by 26  points or more  so far this season.
 Kayson Salyer produced another solid  effort throwing for 246 yards and two  touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jack Vyhnalek, who picked up 147 receiving yards and one  score.
 Seward was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 225  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 169  rushing yards in six consecutive  contests.
As for Crete,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-7. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Seward is ranked 13th).
 Crete's loss  came despite strong showings from  Peyton Steuer and  Nick Wendt.  Steuer picked up 95 receiving yards and one  TD, while  Wendt threw for 180 yards and one  touchdown.
 Coming up, Seward will welcome McCook  on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 945 yards in their previous games. Crete does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
