Recap: Bingham Miners vs. Riverton Silverwolves        
        
		
            
 It may have taken  overtime to finish the job, but the Bingham Miners ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They came out on top against Riverton by a score of  66-54. Given Bingham's advantage  in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings  (they are ranked ninth, while Riverton is ranked 73rd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Leading Bingham to victory were  Addy Horsley and  Brianna Badonie.  Horsley  scored 22 points along with two  steals, while  Badonie  scored 28 points along with two  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kate Nelson, who  scored four points along with ten  rebounds and two  steals.
 Despite the  defeat, Riverton had strong showings from  Maggie Hamblin, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 17  rebounds, and  Faythe Stauffer, who  scored 18 points along with seven  assists and five  rebounds. It was the first time this season that  Hamblin  scored 15 or more points.  Ella Lange was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 Bingham has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record  this season. As for Riverton, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost seven of their last eight matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record  this season.
 Bingham will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Ridge at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Mountain Ridge is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.2  points per game this season. As for Riverton, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Herriman at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Hopefully Riverton focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
