Soccer Recap: Swainsboro Makes It Three in a Row at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Swainsboro had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vidalia Indians a 3-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kimiya Freeman and Kaylee Cox scored all three of Swainsboro's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Swainsboro's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matchups. As for Vidalia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
