Softball Recap: Vinton Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Cameron on Monday, Vinton came back down to earth. The Lions lost 14-4 to the Midland Rebels on Thursday. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Vinton's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Midland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Vinton will take on Rosepine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midland, they will challenge Elton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.86 runs per game on average), something the Rebels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
