Baseball Game Preview: North Central Knights vs. Lewisville Lions

The North Central Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Lewisville Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

North Central lost 13-3 to Buford on Friday.

North Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bj Elliott, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Patton Hood also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Lewisville got themselves on the board against Midlands STEM Charter on Friday, but Midlands STEM Charter never followed suit. They didn't even let the Mavericks on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Lions have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lewisville's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for North Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

North Central skirted past Lewisville 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
