Volleyball Game Preview: Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights vs. Columbiana Clippers

The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights will head out to challenge the Columbiana Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wheeling Central Catholic is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Martins Ferry just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Purple Riders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Maroon Knights have suffered since September 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Columbiana came up short against Shenandoah on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Wheeling Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Columbiana, their loss dropped their record down to 18-3.
