Basketball Game Preview: Arete Prep CHARGERS vs. Lincoln Prep Lightning

Having just played yesterday, the Arete Prep CHARGERS will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Prep Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arete Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Arete Prep turned things around against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy on Thursday. They took down the Gladiators 71-56.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 52-39 to Glendale Prep Academy. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Lightning, who fell 35-33 when the teams last met back in November of 2022.

Lincoln Prep's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Arete Prep, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12.

Arete Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Lincoln Prep in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 54-43. Will Arete Prep repeat their success, or does Lincoln Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
