Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Falls Short Against Ranked Trinity

Lafayette faced Trinity in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Generals lost 3-0 to the Shamrocks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Generals have suffered since March 21st.

While Lafayette was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Trinity's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-15, 26-24.

Moises Santiago paced Lafayette's offense, picking up seven kills. Santiago got some help from Jaiden Vanover and his 11 assists.

With the loss, Lafayette broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-9. As for Trinity, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.
