Softball Recap: Forest Park Panthers vs. Midtown Knights
Forest Park lost against Midtown back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Forest Park Panthers came up short against the Midtown Knights, falling 17-9. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hannah Gadlin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellyssa Julio, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Forest Park's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Midtown, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Park will face off against Drew at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midtown, they will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against M.L. King at 5:30 p.m. Midtown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.3 runs per game this season.
