Recap: Roosevelt Eagles vs. Tulia Hornets

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Blue Ridge, the Roosevelt Eagles were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-46 win over Tulia. For Roosevelt, this counts as revenge for the 68-41 loss Tulia walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.

Tulia's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zaiden Jalomo, who scored 12 points along with 8 assists and 4 steals. Jalomo is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Lopez, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.

Roosevelt has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 2-3 record. As for Tulia, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Roosevelt will head out on the road to face off against Lockney at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lockney focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday. As for Tulia, they will be playing at home against Boys Ranch at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
