Soccer Recap: Douglas County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Vanguard Classical East last Saturday, Douglas County came back down to earth. The Huskies came up short against the Columbine Rebels on Thursday, falling 6-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Douglas County of the 8-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Tyler Rinker, who's now up to five this season.

Douglas County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Columbine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas County will take on Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Douglas County their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Columbine, they will challenge George Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
