Soccer Game Preview: Pieper vs. MacArthur

The Pieper Warriors will take on the MacArthur Brahmas at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pieper is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Warriors who were credited with the victory. Pieper got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to Liberty Hill's six.

MacArthur headed into their last match having not scored more than one goal for six straight, but Brackenridge let them put that streak behind them. The Brahmas never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for MacArthur in their matchups with Brackenridge: they've now won six in a row.

MacArthur's offense was hitting Brackenridge from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Giuliana Ruiz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 13-8-3. As for Pieper, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4-4.
