St. Augustine is 0-3 against Eastlake since May of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. St. Augustine will take on Eastlake in a tournament on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (St. Augustine 3.5, Eastlake 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Eastlake will be up against a hot St. Augustine squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. St. Augustine blew past Helix 9-1 on Monday.

St. Augustine got a great performance from Grayson Boles as he struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Boles has posted since back in February of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Shane Miranda, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kapono Nakanelua, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eastlake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Patrick Henry a 2-0 shutout on Monday.
Not much got past Nick Romero, who gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks to keep Patrick Henry off the board. What's more, Romero gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Eastlake's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joel Vargas, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Eastlake's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for St. Augustine, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. St. Augustine has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Eastlake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
St. Augustine came up short against Eastlake in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, falling 9-6. Will St. Augustine have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
