Soccer Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rolla on Monday, Northwest came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the Marquette Mustangs on Thursday, falling 4-0. The loss continues a trend for Northwest in their meetings with Marquette: they've now lost five in a row.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Marquette, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marquette, they will head out on the road to square off against Lafayette at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Marquette surely won't give up without a fight.
