Baseball Recap: Dawson Comes Up Short

Dawson was the 15-14 winner over La Porte when they last played one another back in May of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since February 21st.

Dawson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garritt Romero, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Romero has hit this season.

Dawson's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for La Porte, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Dawson nor La Porte have any future games scheduled.
