Softball Game Preview: Cedar Reds vs. Snow Canyon Warriors

Cedar hasn't had much luck against Snow Canyon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Reds will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 3:00 p.m. Cedar's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Snow Canyon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cedar is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Desert Hills, who was ranked fifth at the time (Cedar was ranked 21st). The Reds came up short against the Thunder on Friday, falling 20-2. The Reds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cedar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Blackner, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Snow Canyon suffered their closest defeat since March 12th on Thursday. They fell just short of Crimson Cliffs by a score of 8-6.

Alyssa Staheli was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Cedar's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Snow Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
