Volleyball Recap: Glenn Comes Up Short

If Glenn was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lockhart last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies came up short against the Cedar Park Timberwolves on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Glenn took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

Aviana Mack paced Glenn's offense, picking up seven kills. Mack got some help from Briley Camp and her ten assists. Camp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Glenn has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-24 record this season. As for Cedar Park, they pushed their record up to 32-12 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Glenn is set to challenge their familiar foe Hays at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cedar Park will face off against rival Rouse at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
