Basketball Game Preview: Ozona Lions vs. Miles Bulldogs

Ozona hasn't had much luck against Miles recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at at 10:15 a.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

While Ozona didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 63-52 victory over Sonora on Friday.

Meanwhile, Miles hadn't done well against Ballinger recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Miles came out on top against Ballinger by a score of 64-57.

Ozona's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Miles, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Ozona took a serious blow against Miles in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, falling 66-30. Can Ozona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
