Soccer Game Preview: Patel vs. Pinellas Park

The Patel Trailblazers will venture away from home to challenge the Pinellas Park Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Patel is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Bell Creek Academy just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 8-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Trailblazers haven't been shut out since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Pinellas Park entered their tilt with Lakeside Christian on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They beat the Lions by a goal, winning 2-1. The Patriots wouldn't have won without Patience Bahamondes, who scored the game-winner.

Pinellas Park's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five contests. As for Patel, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Everything went Patel's way against Pinellas Park when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as Patel made off with a 5-1 victory. In that game, Patel amassed a halftime lead of 5-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
