Basketball Recap: St. John's Christian Academy Takes a Loss

St. John's Christian Academy lost against Hilton Head Prep last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers lost 62-42 to the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Dolphins are ranked 96th).

Courtney Campbell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hilton Head Prep, almost dropping a triple-double on 26 points, 13 assists, and nine steals. Campbell's evening made it 23 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Erin Cleary, who went 7 for 11 en route to 20 points and three steals.

St. John's Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Hilton Head Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

St. John's Christian Academy will face off against Dorchester Academy at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilton Head Prep, they will square off against Colleton Prep Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
