Volleyball Recap: Abingdon/Avon Comes Up Short

Abingdon/Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roanoke-Benson Rockets. The Tornadoes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Abingdon/Avon's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Roanoke-Benson, they moved to 2-16-1 with that win, which also ended their ten-match losing streak.

Abingdon/Avon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Wethersfield on the 27th. As for Roanoke-Benson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Illini Bluffs on the 27th.
