Baseball Recap: El Segundo Extends Winning Streak to Three

El Segundo won against South on Friday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. El Segundo came out on top in a nail-biter against the Royal Highlanders, sneaking past 7-6. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Logan Brooks was incredible, going 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Carson Rollins was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The victory was the third in a row for El Segundo, bringing their record up to 12-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Royal, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Segundo will challenge Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Segundo's pitchers better be ready for this one: Wiseburn- Da Vinci has averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Royal, they will face off against San Marino at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Royal 1.8, San Marino 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
