Baseball Preview: Campbellsville Eagles vs. Central Hardin Bruins        
        
		
            The Campbellsville Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the Central Hardin Bruins  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Campbellsville will be strutting in after a  win while Central Hardin will be coming in after a  defeat.
On Thursday, Campbellsville needed a bit of extra time to put away Elizabethtown. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp  15-6 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Eagles.
 Bryson Turpin and  Kace Eastridge made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound,  Turpin   tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Meanwhile,  Eastridge   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in May of 2024. At bat,  Turpin  fired off two  home runs, three  RBI,  and one  double while going 3-for-4, while  Eastridge  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Bryson Underwood, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Remy Brown, who  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Central Hardin didn't have quite enough to beat Meade County on Monday and fell  6-5.
 Central Hardin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Reece Cowley, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Campbellsville's record now sits at 2-0. As for Central Hardin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Campbellsville came up short against Central Hardin when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, falling  11-6. Can Campbellsville avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
