Softball Game Preview: Eagle Point Eagles vs. North Eugene Highlanders

For the second straight game, Eagle Point will face off against North Eugene. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Highlanders at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Eagle Point took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Eugene, sneaking past 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Highlanders since April 2, 2024.

For North Eugene's part, Delaney McElravy put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. McElravy was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Ella Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI. Camden DeWitt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs.

North Eugene moved to 16-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Eagle Point, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9.
