Basketball Recap: Germantown Comes Up Short

Germantown was the 95-84 winner over Wisconsin Lutheran when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Germantown Warhawks fell 84-75 to the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Warhawks still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Germantown still got an impressive performance from Danica Gosz, who went 10 for 22 en route to 31 points and six boards. Gosz's afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Teigan Stuve was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Germantown and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Germantown has already played their next contest (against Menomonee Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wisconsin Lutheran has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against The Prairie School.
