Basketball Recap: Maconaquah Has No Trouble Against Peru

Maconaquah won the last time they faced Peru and things went their way on Thursday too. The Maconaquah Braves blew past the Peru Tigers 64-43. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Addie Maiben had an outrageously good game as she went 5 of 7 on her way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Betzner, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points.

Peru's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyannah Correll, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Alivia Ross was another key player, putting up six points.

Maconaquah's record now sits at 7-4. As for Peru, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Maconaquah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-24 victory against Logansport on the 21st. As for Peru, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-33 win against Caston on the 27th.
