Torrey Pines is 8-2 against La Costa Canyon since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Falcons will host the Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

La Costa Canyon will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Torrey Pines extended their winning streak to six on Thursday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Mission Vista. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, La Costa Canyon got the win against Sage Creek on Thursday by a conclusive 13-4. The win continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Norah Coulsell was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, La Costa Canyon got a massive performance out of Malia Whitehouse, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and two doubles. That's the most runs Whitehouse has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Evan Connerley, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

La Costa Canyon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sage Creek only managed ten hits.

Torrey Pines pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for La Costa Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6-1.
