After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beckville, Hawkins was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Arp Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-17, 25-21.

Arp lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Emma Nugent, who had ten digs and seven assists.

Hawkins' win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Arp, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hawkins will venture away from home to square off against Alto at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Arp, they will head out to challenge Sabine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
