Softball Recap: McMinnville Takes a Loss

McMinnville suffered their biggest defeat since April 23, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Glencoe Crimson Tide, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crimson Tide this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 back in April.

McMinnville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Terry, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for McMinnville and nudges their season record down to 15-6. As for Glencoe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McMinnville is set to square off against their familiar foe Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Glencoe will face off against rival Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crimson Tide 2.6, the Bowmen 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
