Volleyball Game Preview: University City Centurions vs. Point Loma Pointers + How To Watch

The University City Centurions will face off against the Point Loma Pointers at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

University City won the last time they faced Mission Bay and Reagan Rowe did her part to make sure it happened again. The Centurions came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Rowe, who had five aces and three digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

University City walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 16-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Point Loma came into Tuesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on La Jolla with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Pointers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

Point Loma never let La Jolla on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 28-26, 25-19.

University City's win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Point Loma, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-10.
