Softball Recap: Brownstown Central Braves vs. Henryville Hornets

There's no place like home for Brownstown Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over the Henryville Hornets on Monday. That's more bragging rights for Brownstown Central, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rylee May made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). May has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. May was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.

In other batting news, Sophia Wayt was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Schneider, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
