Basketball Recap: Cherokee Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 30-30 at halftime, Cherokee was not quite Robbinsville's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell 55-46 to the Robbinsville Black Knights. The match marked the Braves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leading Robbinsville to victory were Bryce Adams and Darion Ledbetter. Adams dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards, while Ledbetter almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Ledbetter has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Lovin, who scored five points in addition to eight assists and seven boards.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Robbinsville, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Cherokee has already played their next game, a 103-63 win against Swain County on the 13th. Robbinsville has also already played their next matchup (against Hayesville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
