Softball Recap: Birmingham Comes Up Short

Birmingham had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quartz Hill Royals on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Jazmine Olmos made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Dalilah Gormley was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Birmingham has already played their next contest, a 9-7 win against Canyon on the 28th. As for Quartz Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-2 victory against Oxnard on the 28th.
