Metro Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. Their rough 12-2 loss to the Independence Patriots might stick with them for a while. Metro Tech was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Independence apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
For Independence's part, Bryan Orozco made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Orozco was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
