Baseball Recap: Manor Takes a Loss

Manor extended their losing streak to 12 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 6-15. They came up short against the Vista Ridge Rangers, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 on Saturday.

As for Vista Ridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-9-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games.

For Vista Ridge's part, Raheel Shaik and Ryan McCann did most of the damage at the plate: Shaik went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while McCann went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave Shaik a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Yegres, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Manor is set to square off against their familiar foe McNeil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Vista Ridge will challenge rival Hutto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
