Plymouth Whitemarsh suffered their closest defeat since May 8, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Springfield Cougars by a score of 6-4. The Colonials' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rian Reed was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Reed wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kalina Childers, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Plymouth Whitemarsh's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Springfield, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

As of now, neither Plymouth Whitemarsh nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
