Soccer Recap: Grace Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. David's two weeks ago, Grace Christian came back down to earth. The Crusaders lost 6-2 to the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans on Tuesday. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Grace Christian struggled afterwards.

Evelyn Irwin and Piper Hicks scored both of Grace Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Grace Christian now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will host Village Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian's defense better be ready for this one: Village Christian Academy have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Calvary Day School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Day School have yet to allow a single goal through six contests this season, a streak Wesleyan Christian Academy will look to end.
