Basketball Game Preview: Penasco Panthers vs. Escalante Lobos

Penasco is 2-8 against Escalante since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Penasco Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Escalante Lobos at 6:00 p.m. Penasco knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Escalante likes a good challenge.

Penasco took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 64-30 victory over Questa. With the Panthers ahead 30-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Escalante was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 44-43 to McCurdy. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Penasco's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Escalante, they now have a losing record of 12-13.
