Volleyball Recap: Olivia Yohe Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Glenville-Emmons

There's no place like home for Houston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. The Hurricanes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolverines, too.

While Houston won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 26-24.

Houston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Yohe out in front who had 16 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Yohe is now averaging an impressive 13.1 assists per game. Another player making a difference was Jorja Meyer, who had seven kills, seven digs, six aces, and three blocks.

They weren't the only good server: Houston was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Houston's record is now 3-6. As for Glenville-Emmons, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
