Basketball Recap: Emmetsburg Sets Scoring Season-High Against Storm Lake St. Mary

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Emmetsburg). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers 92-29. The E'Hawks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Emmetsburg's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.3 points. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, they are on a 43-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

Looking ahead, Emmetsburg will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Estherville Lincoln Central at 7:45 p.m. Emmetsburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers face off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Storm Lake St. Mary is facing Trinity Christian at the right time seeing as Trinity Christian is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
