After losing to Independence the last time they met, Anna decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Anna Coyotes secured a 60-56 W over the Independence Knights on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Anna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from R.J. Gardner, who posted 12 points and five boards. Gardner continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamin Foon, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Anna has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Independence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Anna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-54 loss against Mt. Pleasant on the 27th. As for Independence, they will challenge Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
