Basketball Recap: St. David Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

If Desert Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. David, they should've done a better job of containing Emma Hart. The St. David Tigers blew past the Desert Christian Eagles 49-23 on Saturday thanks in part to Hart, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 18 points and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Emelynn Jacquez was another key player, putting up five points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. Those seven assists gave her a new career-high.

St. David is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Desert Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

St. David has already played their next match, a 62-27 loss against Fort Thomas on the 21st. As for Desert Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 42-36 defeat against St. Augustine Catholic on the 20th.
