Baseball Game Preview: Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles vs. Marion Black Knights

The Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles will take on the Marion Black Knights at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Clyde-Savannah and 28 for Marion dating back to last season.

On Monday, Clyde-Savannah came up short against Lyons and fell 5-2.

Jackson Barr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Max Waldron was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Clyde-Savannah's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 3-1 (and 2-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Salerno, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, Marion fell victim to Early College and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Sharks.

Clyde-Savannah's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
