Soccer Recap: Holy Name Takes a Loss

Holy Name and Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin combined for 22 shots on goal on Tuesday, which explains the impressive 11 total goals scored. The Green Wave lost 10-1 to the Lions. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Holy Name were already down 4-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Matthew Skonieczny, who's now up to three this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Holy Name and nudges their season record down to 3-8-3. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5-3 record this season.

Holy Name wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against Normandy on the 4th. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 win against Grand River Academy on the 2nd.
